"Hierophants were people who brought religious congregantsinto the presence of that which is deemed holy. As such, theywere the priests of the ancient realm. Their mainresponsibility was to prepare the deceased for the Rite ofPassage - a journey into the realm of eternal rest for the rulerand his court. That is why being accepted within the ranks ofthe pharaoh's court was considered a highest attainableprivilege. Vast knowledge of Hierophants was essential inpreparing their pharaoh to return once again to realm ofmortals in the form of Ever Living ruler."
